Master Percy Miller in the heart of uptown New Orleans, Louisiana, grew up in the third ward Calliope projects. After his mother and father separated, his mother moved to Richmond, California. Master P decided to stay in New Orleans and travel frequently to California to spend time with his mom. His mother agreed it was important for him to stay in school in New Orleans and grow up with his father and his family. Remaining in New Orleans, P and his brothers were raised by their paternal grandmother. When P's grandfather came into an inheritance, P was given ten thousand dollars. Striving to be an entrepreneur, Master P took this money and opened an independent record store in Richmond, California called No Limit Records. After gaining first hand knowledge of the music industry as a retailer, P felt he had the business savvy to embark on his dream to become an entertainer as well as owning his own record company. Percy Robert Miller is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and actor best known under the stage name, Master P. Miller was born on April 29, 1970, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Miller is the oldest of his five siblings, including two brothers who are fellow rappers, Corey “C Murder” Miller and Vyshonne “Silkk the Shocker” Miller. He also has one sister, Germaine Miller, and a brother, Kevin Miller, who was murdered in 1990.

Miller grew up in the B.W. Cooper Public Housing Development, also known as the Calliope Projects, was one of the notorious housing projects in New Orleans. He attended Booker T. Washington High School and Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating, Miller was offered an athletic scholarship to play basketball at the University of Houston. Miller attended the University as a freshman but dropped out after a few months to transfer to Merrit College in Oakland, California, where he majored in business administration. Percy Romeo Miller Jr. (born August 19, 1989), also known by his stage name Romeo (formerly Lil' Romeo), is an American rapper, singer, actor and television personality.[1] He gained fame as a rapper in the early 2000s after signing with his father, Master P's record label No Limit Records. His 2001 debut single, "My Baby" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and preceded his debut studio album Lil' Romeo, which peaked at number six on the US Billboard 200.[2]

In 2002, Miller released his second album Game Time, which charted at number 33 on the US Billboard 200. In 2004, Miller released his third album Romeoland, which charted at number 70, and in 2006, he released the digital album Lottery under the name Romeo.
