Biography

An Adjunct Professor of English at City Tech (CUNY), I am a freelance journalist and author of several books: For All We Know, Mescalito Riding His White Horse, Falling from Trees, The Hated Ones, Sleeping with Fishes, Call Me Guido, Freud’s Haberdashery Habits, and Hallucinating Huxley

Mescalito Riding His White Horse received the 2024Independent Press Distinguished Favorite Award in Spirituality.  

Falling from Trees received the 2022 Independent Press Distinguished Favorite Award in Short Stories. 

For All We Know, my UFO themed science-fiction novel, published in May 2024.

My new book, UFO Symphonic-Journeys into Sound, is currently available for preorder and will be published February 1st, 2025.

I'm a Jungian psychotherapist and (since 1981) offer counselling, therapy and dream work in Berne.

Brief Biography

Born in the US in 1940, I grew up in Oklahoma, in the central part of the country. My first university degrees were in physics and my first employment was in metrology. My area of expertise was optics: how to work with light.

At age 31, I discovered I was more interested in working with people and, in 1973, came to Switzerland to begin my training at the C. G. Jung Institute. I was married in 1975 and have a son and two daughters (two of whom now have their own children).

FUNKHOUSER, WILLIAM DELBERT 1881-1948.

William Delbert Funkhouser was born in Rockport, Ind., on March. 13, 1881. He was the son of Hugh Clark and Laura Josephine Mobley Funkhouser. He received an A.B. degree from Wabash College in 1905 and the degrees of A.M. in 1912 and Ph.D. in 1916 from Cornell University. He married Josephine H. Kinney on June. 29, 1910. Funkhouser

began his career teaching in secondary schools in Indiana and New York . He joined the faculty of the University of Kentucky in 1918 where he became professor of anthropology in 1925 and was appointed dean of the graduate school. He remained at that institution until his death on June. 9, 1948. Funkhouser served as president of the American Entomological Society in 1940 and was a member of several study commissions for the purpose of investigating aspects of graduate education. He was awarded an honorary Sc.D. degree by Wabash College in 1929 and wrote many reports on archaeology and anthropology.
