ABOUT BOB

Bob Fitts has had a ministry of worship leading and song writing with an international platform in live performance and recordings since the early 1970’s.  His best-known song, Blessed Be The Lord God Almighty, was written while working with Youth With A Mission in Hawaii.  This, along with other songs, reached the ears of both Integrity Music and Maranatha! Music, and he was invited to record albums with both companies.  These cassettes and CDs, along with his own studio recordings opened the doors to many nations around the world.

Bob began leading worship during his high school days in Corona, California, and the songs he has written and sung have always emphasized the over-abundant love and grace of God, bringing hope and healing to people all over the world.

Bob and his wife, Kathy, have made their home in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii since 1981.  They have traveled to well over 50 nations to lead worship and teach at schools, events, conferences, ministries and churches. Because of their extensive international travels, they make their chu

Bob Fitts is a well known Christian Singer and song writer. He has recorded on the Integrity and Maranatha! music labels. Robert "Bob" William Fitts

Bob Fitts was born June 23, 1945 in Biloxi, Mississippi where his father was stationed at the time. He died March 30, 2023 in Belmont Village here in Nashville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lockwood Head Fitts, and by his parents, William H. and Gladys M. Fitts. He is survived by his step-daughter Elizabeth Head Hawkins, husband Aaron Thomas, and their children, Isabel, Eden and Caleb. He is also survived by his sister Patsy Fitts Reed, husband JD, as well as nephew Brian Reed, niece Tracey Reed, great nephews Alex and Owen, and several cousins. Bob lived most of his life in Nashville, attending Julia Green Elementary School and Hillsboro High School. He graduated from his pride and joy, the University of Tennessee. He spent his career playing with numbers, working at Equitable Securities, JC Bradford, Smith Barney and finally The Rainmaker Companies.
