Meet Aimee Belgard
Aimee grew up in South Jersey, in a middle-class family of four. She graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High, followed by Stockton College in South Jersey, before obtaining her law degree from Widener University.
When she was twelve, Aimee began her first job delivering newspapers throughout her neighborhood and she’s been working hard ever since. She is a seasoned trial and appellate litigator, a Burlington County Freeholder, an award-winning volunteer community leader, and the mother of two young boys. Q. What high school/college did you attend, and what did you study?
A. After graduating from Haddonfield Memorial High School, I earned my bachelor’s of science in environmental studies from Stockton College. It was while serving as chairperson of our environmental club at Stockton and because of our club’s efforts to stop the building of a parking lot in a wetland area that I was inspired to go on to earn my Juris Doctorate in law from Widener University School of Law.
Q.What is your ultimate goal in life?
When all is said and done, I want to know that I’ve put my skills to good use for others. I realized early in life that we’re only here a very short time — might as well make it count.

There’s nothing like connecting to another person, whether it’s family or even just briefly with a stranger. It’s been my great fortune to connect with so many wonderful people working to fight cancer as an American Cancer Society volunteer as well as with so many members of the community, all with different stori

Aimee Belgard was a 2014 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of New Jersey.[1][2] She won the Democratic nomination in the primary on June 3, 2014. Belgard was defeated by Tom MacArthur (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[3]
Biography
Belgard has volunteered with the American Cancer Society, serving on the Executive Board of the American Cancer Society Eastern Division and the National Board of the Cancer Action Network. She has received awards from the American Cancer Society's National Saint George Award and the Capitol Dome Award. She has also been a member of her Neighborhood Watch and Edgewater Park’s Township Committee. Currently, she works on the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders.[4]
