Maroš Šefčovič
Maroš Šefčovič is a Czechoslovak and Slovak diplomat, Slovak and European politician (European Commissioner).
He studied at the University of Economics in Bratislava (1984 – 1985), completed the full course of study (1985 – 1990) and graduated with a degree in “International Relations” at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. At the Comenius University in Bratislava, he received the scientific degrees JUDr in Law (1990) and PhD in International and European Law (2000).
He was an adviser to the Czechoslovak Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, served as 3rd Secretary and Consul at the Czechoslovak Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe (1991 – 1992), and then as 2nd Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Slovakia in Ottawa, Canada (1992).
Since 1995, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, he has been working on relations with the European Union and NATO. In 1998, he became chief of staff of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, then he was appointed ambassador to Tel Aviv, Israel (1999).

Lewis Pugh is an endurance swimmer and an ocean advocate.
He swims in the most vulnerable ecosystems on Earth to campaign for their protection. He was the first person to undertake a long-distance swim in every ocean of the world. He pioneered the first swim across the North Pole, the first swim along the length of the English Channel, the world’s highest swim (on Mt Everest) and even a swim under the Antarctic ice sheet.
Lewis’s work now focuses on creating marine protected areas. In 2016 he helped establish the largest protected area in the world in the Ross Sea off Antarctica. He has been instrumental in protecting over 2 million km2 ocean, an area the size of Western Europe.

Maroš Šefčovič (born in 1966) is a Slovak career diplomat and since 10 September 2019 European Commission Vice-President-Designate for Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight. He has been Vice President of the European Commission in charge of the Energy Union since 1 November 2014. In this capacity, he leads the “Energy Union” Project Team within the Commission which comprises of 14 commissioners.
From 2010 – 2014 he was Vice President of the European Commission in charge of Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration. In 2009-2010, he was European Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Youth. From 2004 -2009, he was the Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the European Union. As diplomat by profession he served between 1992 and 2004 in Zimbabwe and Canada and as Ambassador to Israel.
He graduated from the University of Economy in Bratislava and the Moscow State Institute for Foreign Relations. He holds a degree as Doctor of Law and a PhD of European Law from the Comenius University, Faculty of Law, Bratislava. He also
