John H. White, Ph.D., is a former Dallas Police Investigator Sergeant who was assigned to Patrol, Psychological Services, Internal Affairs, and the Fugitive and Special Investigations Unit. He is currently a Professor of Psychology at Stockton University in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he developed the Forensic Psychology curricula for both graduate and undergraduate programs. He has a database of over 500 serial killers and was the technical advisor on the A&E and Biography Channel’s documentary show entitled, “Killer Profile.” He was the consultant to the technical advisor of the TV show “Criminal Minds” and continues to be a member of the Vidocq Society, a cold case homicide group in Philadelphia, as well as the Atypical Homicide Research Group. He has also been a speaker at CrimeCon for the past two years.

Pulitzer Prize winning photo journalist John H. White is well-known for his photographs of life in the city of Chicago, IL, particularly African American life, during the early 1970s. At the time, White was with the Chicago Daily News working for the federal government, photographing for the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) DOCUMERICA project. DOCUMERICA was a project that involved documenting environmental subjects in the United States in the 1970s. From 1972 to 1977, photographers, including White, were selected to photograph geographical areas they were already familiar with. White photographed Chicago from June to October 1973 and the spring of 1974. John Henry White Jr. (born November 10, 1933) is an American historian and museum curator.

Biography

John Hoxland White Jr., was born on November 10, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio. In his early years, he explored tanneries and the Cincinnati Union Terminal, where he was particularly interested in the roundhouse. From this, White developed a yearning to become a locomotive engineer. His first job during high school entailed working on a gearbox assembly line at the Triumph Manufacturing Company. He enrolled at Miami University, near his home, and during his college years worked at the McGowan Pump Company, where he learned drafting. In 1958, he graduated with bachelor's degree in modern European history from Miami University. As soon as he graduated he got an internship position as a museum aide at the Smithsonian Institution. His early years at the Smithsonian Institution were spent working on ship models for Howard I. Chapelle, the curator of transportation. His internship was extended from time to t
