She married William Jay Sr. in 1743, in Winchester, Frederick, Virginia, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 11 March 1818, in New Burlington, Clinton, Ohio, United States, at the age of 95, and was buried in Waynesville, Wayne Township, Warren, Ohio, United States.

Eva Marie Vestal Cave, 91, of East Bend, died Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was born in Yadkin County on February 22, 1931 to Hampton Monroe and Sarah Ann Carter Vestal. Marie was a member of Forbush Friends meeting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Crawley Cave and Carl Edelman; a son, Edward Crawley Cave, Jr.; sisters, Martha Vestal Spillman and Stella Vestal Spillman; brothers, Willie Hayes Vestal, Winford Vestal, Hillery Vestal, Charlie Vestal Avery Vestal, and Junior Vestal. Surviving are her children, Diane Cave Robbins and Clinton Eugene (Denise) Cave; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 1:00PM at Forbush Friends Meeting with Rev. Jake Penley and Rev. Brian Poindexter officiating. She will lie-in-state in the church from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Ge

Jeannette Marie Vestal OBITUARY
Jeannette Marie Vestal (Hiland) August 16, 1939 – May 29, 2019 Lifetime resident of San Jose With great sadness we announce the passing of our sister Jeannette (Jan), who was born August 16, 1939 in San Jose of parents Thomas and Daphne Hiland and died May 29th at the age of 79.
Jan was a graduate of Campbell High School. She married Robert Vestal (now deceased) when she was in her mid-20’s and they had two children: Susan and Lee. Later divorced, Jan raised the children as a single mom. She was a hard worker, raising her two children while she worked full time and went to school to develop a career in medical business which she was dedicated to for her entire working life.
Her son Lee Vestal, a Cal Maritime graduate and professional merchant marine, lives with his wife Yvonne in WA. Jan’s daughter Susan passed away as an adult after a heroic battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Susan was married (husband Dave) and mother of Jan’s sole granddaughter Jessica.
