Gregory Martin Itzin[1] (April 20, 1948 – July 8, 2022) was an American character actor of film and television best known for his role as U.S. PresidentCharles Logan in the action thriller series 24.[2][3]
Early life
Itzin was born in Washington, D.C., the son of Evelyn Loretta (née Smith) and Martin Joseph Itzin.[4] When he was in sixth grade, his family moved to Burlington, Wisconsin, where his father was mayor. Itzin originally intended to become a theater actor, receiving training at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He acted on many stages across the country.
